“Happy St Paddy’s Day!”
After another cold night we got up a bit later this morning and got organized.
First stop today was the Cango Ostrich Farm where we did a guided tour and learned about Ostriches. They even had a couple of Emus there so we could compare them. It was a very interesting tour and at the end we could ride an ostrich. Mark was too heavy (you have to be less than 75kg) and I was too chicken. I wish I had done it though! We spent a lot of time there and the ostriches are pretty cute. Some of them grow pretty big and they can run fast too!
After that we went to the Wildlife Resort. Also a wonderful guided tour to see lots of different animals.
I saw snakes (Black and green mambas, and yellow python), Porcupine (my first time to see them!), Vultures, Maribu Storks, Bats, Lemurs (I like to move it, move it!), Crocodiles and hippos. People were cage diving with the crocs.
After that we went to see the Cats and saw lions, cheetahs and leopards as well as tigers! There are no tigers in Africa (Most people are surprised to find that out but they are actually an Asian Cat and only found in Asia) so it was cool to see them. You could go and play with baby tigers but it was a bit expensive so we didn’t. But we did see other people playing with them so that was cute.

We ate our picnic lunch in the carpark, then went to the shop to pick up supplies. Tonight we are making homemade burgers on our wood fire! Its gonna taste fantastic.
We stopped off at a waterfall on the way back to our camp. We had to walk a little way through nice bush and the waterfall was very pretty. We thought about swimming but it was a bit chilly and us “Durbanites” aren’t too fond of cold water!
