Table Mountain

Today the weather was great so we wanted to do Table Mountain.
We decided to walk up and make a day of it. If you don't want to walk you can take the cable car which we took to get down. There is 2 ways up: the safe touristy way and the other way. On the way we met up with 3 people who had done it before and recommended us to go the same way they were going - which was the adventure route. There were warning signs saying only experienced climbers should go that way, which I didn't actually pay attention to so I had no idea what I was getting myself into. There were a few areas where we had to hang on for dear life and try to keep moving upwards. I'm a big scaredy-cat at the best of times, so I was pretty worried in some parts. If you fall, you are finished! There are only rocks below you and it was far down!
Once we got to the hectic parts and I realised what I was getting myself into, it was too late! There was no way down - the only way was up! I'm wondering how many people get stuck up there - they get into a spot, panic and then can't move either way. I was pretty close to that at times, but somehow managed to make it through with Mark's help and support. He had to pull me up some rock faces.
Such an achievement!

The before shot! Table mountain is 1086m but it goes straight up vertical.

The photo doesn't do the mountain justice at all!

View from part of the way up - notice the cars at the bottom to see how high we are!

Getting higher, the cars are getting smaller!

Taking a rest!
